The Container Park in Las Vegas is a recent addition to the downtown landscape, built as a part of the Downtown Project. Made out of repurposed shipping containers, the Container Park is a sort of open-air mall. It’s home to many restaurants and shops, all of which are local.
The outdoor space is filled with plenty of tables and chairs where you can sit and grab a bite to eat, or just enjoy the weather. It’s a great spot to spend an evening with drinks and friends. The Downtown Container Park is extremely family-friendly, with an awesome tree house and play area for kids.
Out front, a 35-foot tall sculpture welcomes you: it’s a fire-breathing praying mantis. During the day, all seems quiet. After the sun sets, music blasts as the sculpture spits fire–sometimes when you least expect it. Once all of the lights come on after dark, the Container Park is transformed into a modern wonderland.
Be sure to head upstairs to the open-air patio and take a walk through the bright orange shipping container bridge. Grab a coffee from The Black Cup and get some delicious vegan food at Simply Pure.
