Find out where to eat in Lisbon, Portugal with this quick Lisbon restaurants guide. All recommendations are vegetarian-friendly!
…
Travel and food go hand in hand. While I don’t consider myself a foodie, everyone has to eat. I used to be the budget traveler that cooks every single meal while traveling, instead of spending tons of money to eat at restaurants.
While I’m still typically that traveler, during my time in Portugal I made an effort to eat at restaurants more often. I had a nice mix of cooking in my Airbnb, going out to local places, and even turning to Uber Eats every now and then (it’s the best of both worlds; trying restaurants without leaving my apartment).
After spending over a month in Lisbon, I ended up trying quite a few different Lisbon restaurants. From simple cafes, to trendy food halls, to all the vegetarian/vegan places I could find, I really ate well while there.
This Lisbon restaurants guide is filled with all of my favorite places to eat. As a vegetarian, my definition of the “best Lisbon food” might differ from yours. The city is known for seafood, but I since I don’t eat it, you won’t see recommendations for it here.
All places on this list are vegetarian-friendly, but I just have a small section dedicated specifically to vegan and vegetarian restaurants. So if you’re a vegetarian/vegan, then this is the perfect place for you to find out where to eat in Lisbon, Portugal!
That being said, non-vegetarians will find this restaurant guide useful too. Scroll to the bottom of this post for a Google Maps to help you find the restaurants that are most convenient for your trip.

I love to try local food when I travel, I usually go for street food or some very local places that are also cheaper. All that food looks so yummy. I want to visit Portugal so much, I think their food will be really delicious.
